Farewell

Here is an illustration I did for senior studio. The sketch was initially for the great lake swimmers poster, but I had went a different route. I liked the sketch though, so I just went ahead and made something of it.

P.S.- I leave for San Francisco on Wednesday. I am more than excited.

This just might be my last poster for a little bit. The Great Lake Swimmers are a great band from Canada! Check them out.

Also here are two more patterns!

I revisited this illustration. I added more to it. It's a little bit different than my usual happy illustrations, but I have strong feelings on the negative impact the media has on women and body image. Eating disorders are far too common in this country.

Veggie Pattern

I don't think there is a vegetable I don't like! I used to dislike carrots raw, but I like them again. Anyway here is a veggie pattern for a selection of grocery bags I'm designing, I should have the fruit one done soon. I'm not working as fast as I would like to thanks to a little cold I caught.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

New York City

Some friends of mine had a trip planned to go to New York, and two hours before they left I decided to join them. We went to MoMa, which was absolutely amazing! Frida Kahlo, Pablo Piccasso, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Marisol, Edward Hopper, Andy Warhol, Jackson Pollock, Van Gogh, Frances Bacon, Monet...you get the point. It was jaw dropping. Kyler and I then walked to tons of galleries and saw lots of great work, and most importantly the James Jean exhibition showing at the Jonathan Levine Gallery in Chelsea, which of course was wonderful!
Another part of NYC that I love is the VEGAN options! Kyler joined me at the Red Bamboo (the img above is our meals), I had Jerk 'Chicken' and Kyler had Sweet and Sour 'Chicken'. Our meals were unbelievable. Later that night the five of us went to Brooklyn and enjoyed some Vinnie's Pizza, which was delicious! They use teese for their vegan pizza, and I can't wait to order some to make some pizza of my own.

On sunday we traveled up to Central Park, which was beautiful. There were runners everywhere!

New York/Brooklyn is now in my list of places to consider when I move.
